WREN: They’re for Maria. And they’re from you.
CHARLIE: What...?
WREN: Sunflowers. Her favorite. They’re plastic, but -
CHARLIE: Wren. You got me flowers to give to Maria?
CHARLIE: So, you knew...
WREN: Well, yeah. Come on. If anyone knows what it looks like when you’re crushing on someone, it’s me.
WREN: You can’t stick around town forever, and I want you to go for it while you still can.
CHARLIE: You’re not - I don’t know - mad?
WREN: No, Chuck. I am suprisingly devoid of mad. All I’ve come with is hope, that she can be good to you, and you can be good to her.
WREN: And, you know, plastic flowers. And a pretty badass bowtie.
I am writing a paper on trans identity and race. I have created a survey to gather peoples thoughts on gender, race, and naming. If you have a couple mins to fill out this short survey, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/XDW82R8
@Aiden welp, I’m white and more-or-less cis, so I don’t know how useful my response will be, but I responded anyway. I appreciated the opportunity to think about things (namely, gender, race and naming, no pun intended) intersecting in ways I had not before considered.
also, yay for Wren! and yay for her calling Charlie ‘Chuck’; that is precious beyond belief <3
Can I just say Awwwwwwww! I love wren so much right now 🙂
Awww. Go, Wren. That is some serious friend bad-assery.
Also … “Chuck”? Hee.
Man, I love when Wren is awesome.
My pronoun buttons arrived today, and they are awesome! Thanks, RJ!

Totally time someone called him “Chuck.” (Also pretty American, now I think of it. He’s not likely to be called “Chaz”).
And yes, Wren. It is one kicking bow tie. Bow ties are cool.
