I was recently told that all roller derby names need to be unique and registered. Looking into this, it turns out that several months after this comic was written, Tamora Fierce became someone’s real roller derby name. There is no way it’s a coincidence, right?
The joy, the joy in my heart, it – it was – I mean, it probably topped when Tamora freakin’ Pierce herself actually commented on my comic.
Central New York fans, you should go to a game and cheer her on! And if you are reading this, Tamora Fierce, I REALLY WANT TO MEET YOU.
